One of the popular Shaw quotes: "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man"

I was thinking earlier today: A good lot of environmental challenges including climate change have happened because humans have tried to fool around with the environment - adapt the environment to them, in shaw-speak.

So, perhaps a key to climate action is becoming less unreasonable, and more empathetic to the environment? But then, what happens to "progress"?
